Microsoft Outlook 2007: Forwarding email messages as attachment

If you want the recipient to focus on your email message and not need to scroll through a long list of email correspondence before that, wouldn’t it be great if you can just have all those email contents attached instead of being in the body of the email message together with yours?  With Outlook 2007, you can easily forward an email as an attachment then type in your email from scratch on a blank message body without all the previous correspondences cluttering up the space on the body of the email.

Where do attachments appear in my message?

Where attachments appear in your message depends on the format in which you compose the message. If the message format is HTML or plain text, attachments appear in the attachment box below the Subject line.  If the message format is Rich Text, attachments appear in the body of the message. Even though the file appears to be embedded in the message, it is actually still a separate attachment.

The format in which a message is composed is indicated in the title bar at the top of the message.  To change the message format:

Recreating your Spam Folder

Messages detected as spam have a special string added to the beginning of the subject line {SPAM?}. If you receive emails in your Inbox with {SPAM?} on the Subject line, your Spam Folder might be missing. Your mailbox has a rule, which takes all messages with that special string and moves it from your Inbox to your Spam Folder.
