Request for Email Forwarding
Below is the procedure that users must follow to have their IAS e-mail forwarded to another e-mail address while they are on campus or after they have left the Institute.
1. Complete the form found below. Please test for a mail loop by sending a test e-mail from your IAS account to the account you plan to forward your IAS e-mail to. If you receive the message in your IAS e-mail box then you must terminate the forward on the destination account before your IAS forward is activated. Failure to do so could result in your IAS forward not being activated or having it terminated due to mail looping.
2. If you are leaving the Institute, unsubscribe from all mailing lists that use your IAS e-mail address.
3. If you are leaving the Institute, disable any forwards on any non-IAS e-mail accounts that forward e-mail messages to your IAS account.
4. After the scheduled activation date, send a test message to your IAS e-mail account to see
if the forwarding is working properly. If you suspect that it is not working, please send an e-mail to helpdesk@ias.edu
