Configuring your iPhone or iPad Mail device to access your Zimbra mailbox using IMAP

There are two ways to configure your iPhone or iPad Mail application to sync to your IAS email account—using an ActiveSync connection or using a standard IMAP connection. In addition to puling your IAS email, an ActiveSync connection also pulls in your IAS calendar and contacts.  When configuring your device to use an IMAP connection, you will only be able to sync your email messages.

These instructions configure the iPhone Mail application to use a standard IMAP connection for mail transfer. Instructions for configuring the Mail application to use ActiveSync are also available.
