Working with e-mail file attachments

When working with e-mail file attachments, it is recommended that you first save the file attachment to a folder location of your choice before you start working on the file as opposed to opening up the e-mail file attachment directly from within your e-mail program. Some of the benefits to this recommendation include:

1. By saving the e-mail file attachment to a folder location of your choice, you are able to better manage your files and folders.  This will also make accessing your data much easier.

2. Since you are saving a copy of the e-mail file attachment to a folder location of your choice, the original e-mail file attachment will remain accessible and unaltered.
